Clarinet Systems announces it will market and sell
the Sanyan “Longeye” video surveillance control system
in the U.S., and all of North, South, and Central America.

Fremont, CA – February 1, 2007 - Clarinet Systems, Inc. ( www.clarinetsys.com ), the leading provider of highly secure wireless infrared networking solutions for handheld computing devices, PDAs, and cell phones announced today an exclusive agreement with Sanyan Computer Co. LTD to market and sell the Sanyan “Longeye” video surveillance control system in the U.S., and all of North, South, and Central America. The Sanyan Longeye product line is especially suited for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) applications used to monitor and control a plant or equipment in industries such as telecommunications, water and waste control, energy, oil and gas refining, and transportation.

This new product marketing initiative is consistent with Clarinet Systems vision for addressing market needs for security in various LAN and IP-based networks, building on their track record for secure short-range wireless IR LANs and USB-based networking products.

New Sanyan “Longeye” video surveillance control systems available from Clarinet Systems:

Sanyan’s Longeye product series provides a wide range of system products for remote and centralized IP network streaming surveillance and control. The product line is generally available now and includes:

• Encoder Servers with Networking Digital Video Recorder (NDVR) to compress the video/audio digital format;
• Decoder Servers to decode compressed digital back into analog video/audio;
• Distribution & Middle Servers to enable concentrated storage to store encoder video/audio data;
• Playback Console and Management System to provide complete control center display and switching capabilities in a box.
• Digital I/O with 8 sensor inputs and 8 alarm output modules for manual or automated remote control of external devices, such as lights, gates, and other devices, etc.

Unlike competing video server or normal stand-alone/PC-based digital video recorders (DVR), Sanyan ’s networking DVR solution integrates surveillance, control, and storage to satisfy the real-time system needs of security, SCADA, process control, manufacturing, traffic control, and other demanding industrial and commercial automation applications.

The Hardware Encoder/ Hardware Decoder Server products are based-on embedded Linux with fan-less CPU’s. No disk drive, mouse, or VGA monitors are required. Power consumption is much lower than comparable systems: 33W compared with PC-based solutions, typically 250W.
