Clarinet Systems’ EthIR LAN ES608 is Wireless Networking Solution at Cardinal Healthcare
Cardinal Healthcare of Muncie, Indiana placed a significant order for EthIR LAN ESB301 single-port wireless infrared switches and EthIR LAN ES608 multi-port wireless infrared “SyncHub” switches. Cardinal Healthcare will use the EthIR LAN products to provide infrared wireless network synching for PDAs used with the AccessPt PDA software application installed at the hospital.
The EthIR LAN ES608 SyncHub is a 4-port switch designed by Clarinet in response to several voice-of-the-customer requirements: 1. The EthIR LAN switch and EthIR Beam access point circuitry are all contained within the distinctively designed plastic enclosure, thus securing all essential system components for public area use; 2. The SyncHub has 4 spacious synching “pockets” which securely hold the user’s PDA throughout the synching process, thus keeping the PDA from being jarred, obstructed by papers or other objects, or otherwise disturbed; 3. The SyncHub’s eye-catching, distinctive tower design makes it easily recognizable as a PDA synching location; 4. Four users can use the SyncHub simultaneously via the SyncHub’s single Ethernet uplink and power cord.
AccessPt., based in Jackson, MS, is a leading provider of solutions for mobile clinical data and other healthcare applications. Information about AccessPt.’s AccessPt PDA software and other products can be found at www.accessptinc.com.
The successful sale to Cardinal Healthcare was driven by the Evansville, Indiana office of Clarinet Systems’ reseller Data Equipment (www.dataeq.com). Headquartered in Pensacola, FL, Data Equipment continues to aggressively pursue sales of Clarinet’s products in the Southeast and Midwest regions.
