Clarinet Systems’ ESB101 Single-Port Switches and Accessories Purchased by Virtua Health
Virtua Health in Gibbsboro, NJ recently successfully concluded a pilot study
with MercuryMD's MData healthcare software product for Palm and PocketPC PDAs operating with Clarinet Systems' EthIR LAN ESB101 single-port wireless
infrared network switches. The successful conclusion of the pilot study resulted in Virtua Health's purchase of a large quantity of EthIR LAN ESB101 switches, along with accompanying WMK2 wall-mount accessory kits.
20 doctors took part in the Virtua pilot study, and only 2 of these doctors had the same kind of PDA. However, the common denominator in all of these PDAs was that they each had an IR port, a feature that is standard on all Palm and PocketPC PDAs. Clarinet Systems' EthIR LAN solution was a perfect fit for this multi-platform PDA environment, since it provided a universal IR wireless synching station that worked with all the various PDAs in use at Virtua. Virtua Health has 4 hospitals in southern New Jersey, and EthIR LAN will be deployed in all of their nursing stations.
